How we research, update and disclose UK energy content

Editorial principle: distinguish verified public facts from personalised prices and commercial claims.

Primary sources

For price-cap information we prefer Ofgem. For Fuse referral eligibility and reward information we prefer Fuse Energy’s current published terms. Review snapshots are attributed to Trustpilot and dated.

Personalised pricing

We do not publish a supplier-specific unit rate or standing charge as if it applied nationwide when the rate depends on postcode, tariff, meter or payment method. Comparison tables direct visitors to the live quote where appropriate.

Commercial links

Affiliate and referral links are disclosed. Commercial relationships do not change our explanation of what a household should compare: expected annual cost, unit rate, standing charge, contract length, exit fee, payment method and eligibility rules.

Corrections and review dates

Pages carry an updated date where relevant. Time-sensitive figures should be reviewed when Ofgem changes the cap or a supplier changes a promotion. Material corrections should replace the outdated statement rather than being hidden.

AI and automation

Automated tools may assist with drafting or technical maintenance, but published factual claims should still be checked against the cited source before deployment.
